Mr. Wilson has taught High School sciences in both Oklahoma and Texas for more than a decade, as well as tutoring college students. He has taught college level Biology (AP), Biology I, Biology II, Chemistry, Physics, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Environmental Science, and Forensic Sciences (Criminology). He has been honored with multiple awards, some of which include:
National Science Teachers Association President (E.C.U. Chapter) 2006-2007
National Nobel Distinguished Science Educator - 2012
Six-time running “Teacher of the Month” (voted on by High School Students) while teaching in Tom Bean ISD, TX – 2011-2012
Advisor for State Science Education Standards, Oklahoma State Department of Education – 2013 to 2015
Besides teaching High School sciences, Mr. Wilson also coached for 6 years in both Oklahoma and Texas, including Football, Powerlifting, Basketball, Baseball, and Track.
Wr. Wilson married his wife, Reagan, in 2009, and they have four small children.
Before retiring to raise their children full-time, Reagan taught Spanish and Math. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where she majored in Spanish language and culture. Her studies in Spanish eventually led to her studying the language and culture abroad for two semesters during her college years: one semester in Spain, and another in Mexico.
When he isn’t teaching or chasing his children around, Mr. Wilson enjoys Judo.
He is also frequently invited to churches, camps, and student groups throughout Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas, to speak on the topics regarding the issue of science and faith.
